Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Support disabled veterans with daily living activities while preserving dignity and independence. Ensure comfort, safety, and respectful care in a supportive environment.

Pay: $16 hourly

Responsibilities:

Assist with hygiene, mobility, and basic care needs.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in personal care, direct support, or healthcare setting preferred
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and compassion
Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, light cleaning and mobility

Transportation

Ensure safe and timely transportation for residents to appointments, errands, and community activities. Support independence while maintaining reliability and safety at all times.

Responsibilities:

Drive to appointments, maintain vehicle safety.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required
Valid Mississippi driver’s license required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred if operating larger transport vehicles
Clean driving record with no major violations; must meet insurability requirements
Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred (medical transport, senior care, or similar setting)
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and professionalism
Ability to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community outings, and essential services
Ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles, including those with limited mobility or who require assistive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)

Medical Technician

Support essential medical care needs of residents under supervision in a compassionate setting. Help maintain health standards through accurate monitoring and timely assistance.

Responsibilities:

Monitor vitals, assist with treatments.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved Medical Technician, CNA, or related healthcare training program preferred
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medication Technician (Med Tech), or equivalent credential preferred (as recognized by the Mississippi Department of Health)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, assisted living, or residential care setting preferred
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and compassion

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred)

Counselor

Promote emotional well-being by offering guidance and mental health support to residents. Create a safe and trusting environment for open communication and healing.

Responsibilities:

Provide counseling sessions, crisis support.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required
Current licensure in the State of Mississippi preferred (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent); provisional licensure may be considered depending on role
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in counseling, behavioral health, or a related clinical setting preferred
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and compassion
Experience working with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, substance use, or mental health disorders preferred

Nutrition Staff

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; certification or training in food service, nutrition, or dietary services preferred
Prior experience in food preparation, dietary services, or healthcare/residential setting preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in program management, residential care, healthcare, or social services required

Minimum of 1 year of experience in activities coordination, recreation, or working in a healthcare/residential setting preferred

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Must hold a current and valid Barber License issued by the State of Mississippi Board of Barber Examiners
Minimum of 1 year of barbering experience preferred, especially working with diverse age groups or in a service-based setting

Ability to provide quality grooming services, including haircuts, beard trims, shaving, and basic grooming care

Must hold a current and valid Cosmetology License issued by the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology

Nursing Staff

Deliver skilled medical care while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for residents. Support ongoing health monitoring and collaborate with care teams effectively.

Administer care, monitor health conditions.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)
Must hold a current and active nursing license in the State of Mississippi (LPN or RN)
Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred, especially in long-term care, assisted living, or behavioral health
Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and professionalism
Knowledge of geriatric care, chronic conditions, mental health, and/or substance use disorders preferred
Experience working in residential or community-based care settings preferred

Responsible for accurate medication administration, storage, and documentation in accordance with Mississippi regulations

Prior experience in maintenance, facility upkeep, or a related trade (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry) preferred
Technical certifications or vocational training preferred but not required

Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility upkeep

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in safety, compliance, risk management, or a healthcare/residential setting preferred
Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA, CPR Instructor, Safety Management, or related credentials)
