Positions listed below:

Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Support disabled veterans with daily living activities while preserving dignity and independence. Ensure comfort, safety, and respectful care in a supportive environment.

Pay: $16 hourly

Responsibilities:

Assist with hygiene, mobility, and basic care needs.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in personal care, direct support, or healthcare setting preferred

  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving veterans with dignity, respect, and compassion

  • Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, light cleaning and mobility

  • Must be physically capable of safely lifting, transferring, and assisting residents as needed

  • Ability to follow individualized care plans and accurately document services provided

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check in accordance with Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) regulations

  • Must be free of communicable diseases and able to provide required health screenings (e.g., TB test) per Mississippi state guidelines

  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)

  • Completion of state-required training for personal care/assisted living staff in Mississippi (including orientation and ongoing in-service training)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and resident privacy standards

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as required

  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations and follow facility safety procedures
